Patricia (Patty) Caballero

Principal and CEO
PSC Consulting

Patty Caballero is the trusted partner leaders call when the work is too strategic to delegate and too critical to delay. As founder of PSC Consulting, she serves as an executive partner to CEOs and boards, turning high-stakes priorities into realized outcomes so organizations can focus on growth, mission, and capital.

What Patty Does

Patty concentrates on vital business initiatives where success hinges on thorough analysis, a clear strategy, and a practical understanding of how people and cultures truly operate. She works closely with leadership teams to identify the core problem, align stakeholders, and advance complex projects from idea to completion, ensuring they do not get stuck in “strategy” mode.

How She Creates Value

Instead of adding more information or another deck, Patty applies executive-level judgment and strategic narrative discipline to decision-making. She assists leaders in turning data and strategy into clear choices, trade-offs, and actions that can withstand scrutiny from the board, investors, and stakeholders.

Experience Leaders Rely On

For over twenty-five years, Patty has been a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and government officials, including work with organizations like Cigna, Burson-Marsteller, and GHG. In these roles, she has led corporate reputation programs, crisis responses, national health campaigns, executive communications, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

Board‑Level Perspective

Patty brings a board-level perspective to leadership, governance, and communication, helping boards and executive teams view narrative coherence as a key factor in managing risk and reputation. With extensive experience in both boardrooms and executive roles, she assists organizations in ensuring that their messages, actions, and stakeholder experiences align, preventing gaps that could lead to governance, regulatory, or reputational issues. Her own board service includes roles such as President of the American University Alumni Board, Vice Chair/Secretary of the Let’s Talk Women’s Health & Wellness Board, and Trustee of Women@NJPAC.

Background and Teaching

Patty holds a BA in Communications and an MBA in International Finance from American University, combining business acumen with deep communications expertise. She also teaches crisis communication at the University of Florida and communication strategy at Baruch College, developing the next generation of leaders equipped to manage narrative risk and lead through change.

Patty is a top notch pro, insightful, understands her craft well, great contacts, and knows how to navigate the corporate structure to achieve the end result.

Having worked with Patty Caballero while I led Bayer Pharmaceuticals Women’s Health Advocacy Relations efforts, I witnessed first hand her tenacity, creativity and talent. Patty was relentlessly energetic, whole-hearted and engaged in our efforts to identify priorities for advocacy organizations, membership societies and other thought leaders in Washington, DC to navigate a challenging women’s reproductive health landscape. Her ideas were fresh and most importantly, I don’t recall one road block or challenge that she didn’t come back with a way forward or idea to refresh our approach. On top of it all, she cares about her work, her clients and the populations she serves. Working with Patty will give you a chance to think about public affairs and communications differently!
